Changing V: I’ve been making little shadows of the past, flickin em burning up in my tracks Keep me covered, covered Oh these growing, growing pains feel as good as hell in lace They make you tough like steel, a steel magnolia Call it the pain game, Im changing I gotta push back my pride And insecurities with a smile Changing, Im changing Honey I got to Got to, got to V: I was born a little outlaw on the run riding wild dreams into the sun Finding beauty while i’m out here, our her getting burnt Oh my country till of thee don’t tell me what kind of woman I’m suppose to be I won’t let you feed on my dreams Call it the pain game, Im changing I gotta push back my pride And insecurities with a smile Changing, Im changing Honey I got to Got to, got to Bridge: This might this might Be just what just what What I needed What I needed

Land of the Pines It’s been quite some time since I’ve been home to the land of the pines Tall and green, dirty dirty trees No one seemed to get any older till now, till now Now the mystery of aging gracefully is dead Yes it’s dead Welcome back child to the land of the pines Time can be seen through these dirty trees Run run dear child from the land of the pines All that stay too long forget their hearts golden song of yesterday All of my sins float, float through the land of the pines Sturdy, dirty dirty green Broken dreams are left here. Stuck in the sap Now these things I see they skew my history and what I thought I believed Welcome back child to the land of the pines Time can be seen through these dirty trees Run run dear child from the land of the pines All that stay too long forget their hearts golden song of yesterday

about

To celebrate the one year anniversary of Perpetual Doom’s release of “Rosebud Queen” here’s a small collection of songs that started out those sessions.

We recorded about 17 songs for these sessions throughout the course of over a year.
Some of them didn’t quite feel right, fit all together, and some were too personal to keep reliving.

“I want to get better not bitter. I want to keep dreaming forever.”

Maybe just maybe there’s someone else out there who needs that mantra too.
